Association Names Craig Kendall President

Craig Kendall was elected president of the Used Truck Association, the group said July 5. Kendall, of the Peterbilt Store in Knoxville, Tennessee, was appointed by the board of directors June 22. The meeting was called after UTA President Michael McColgan died unexpectedly May 30 at the age of 61. Kendall will fill out the balance of McColgan’s standard one-year term, which ends during UTA's annual meeting Nov. 9-12 in Savannah, Georgia. Bryan Haupt of MHC Kenworth in Kansas City, Missouri, was interim president. He has since returned to his post as vice president. Kendall manages recruiting and fleet accounts for his company and had been a co-chair of UTA’s convention committee. He has worked in the-used truck business since 1993 and has been a UTA member since 2001. “Mike had many great ideas,” Kendall said of McColgan. “He had initiated several efforts that will be good for the UTA for many years to come.”
