TRADESHOW HIGHLIGHTS | Case Highlights Charitable Partnerships Ahead of Conexpo

Case Construction Equipment will unveil the “Team Rubicon Disaster Response SV340” at Conexpo. It’s a special edition of the company’s SV340 skid steer loader, and will be used to promote the Case partnership with Team Rubicon, as well as for training and support events throughout the country.

Team Rubicon, in partnership with Case, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Wildlife Refuge System, has trained a core group of certified operators to instruct volunteers in proper equipment operation. Case has donated equipment and training resources to the non-profit veteran-based disaster response organization, and Team Rubicon, along with Case equipment, has been deployed to numerous disaster response and community service projects across North America.

In addition, Case will donate more than $175,000 in materials to Habitat for Humanity from the company's exhibit at the show. This includes 40,000 square feet of carpeting and padding, and 5,634 square feet of finished plywood paneling. Habitat for Humanity, a leading global nonprofit that works in more than 1,400 communities throughout the United States and 70 countries worldwide, will put the materials to use on home-building projects throughout the U.S.

The Team Rubicon Disaster Response SV340 features a guarding package that includes a heavy-duty bumper, rear grille guard, sweeps with a center screen, front light guards, side window guards, and intake screens. An additional 10 LED lights have been added (four rear, four forward and two lower, side-facing) for increased visibility and work zone awareness, and a four-corner strobe kit has been integrated into a custom roof rack. The custom roof rack is built to hold a shovel, demolition axe, and chainsaw, and also has recovery straps and rigging. The machine stands out with a sleek gray finish and high-visibility safety paint accents, and rides on heavy-duty pneumatic tires.

“The special-edition SV340 embodies the sense of community service, patriotism, and veteran workforce development that is at the core of the relationship between Case and Team Rubicon,” says John Dotto, brand marketing manager for Case.

In conjunction with its Habitat for Humanity donation, Case has partnered with exhibit provider Steelhead Productions to deploy a booth structure that will be reused by other vendors for future events, and all marketing materials, signage, and branding from the booth will be repurposed at Case facilities and dealerships throughout North America. The company says its goal is to leave almost zero impact on landfills and waste services from its exhibit at one of the world’s largest trade shows.

“Sustainability is a top priority for our company, and trade shows place a heavy burden on landfill space,” says Athena Campos, senior director of marketing at Case. “Giving back to the community is also core to our brand and our people. This initiative combines both efforts where we can reduce our wasteful footprint and simultaneously supply Habitat for Humanity with much-needed supplies for building new homes.”
